Fantastic Four #1 (November 1961) is the foundation stone of the Marvel Universe. Stan Lee and Jack Kirby — working under editorial pressure to produce a superhero team — created four distinct, flawed, argumentative characters who felt genuinely human. The Marvel Age of Comics was born.
This CGC 7.0 FN/VF copy is a collector-grade example. The Kirby cover — the FF emerging from the ground in a flash of lightning — is bright and crisp. Interior pages are clean with minimal tanning.
Mr. Fantastic (Reed Richards), Invisible Girl (Sue Storm), Human Torch (Johnny Storm), and the Thing (Ben Grimm) all debut here alongside the Mole Man as the first villain.
This copy is encapsulated by CGC at 7.0 on a Universal Blue label under certification number 1708899100, which you can verify independently on the CGC website before you buy. The holder is intact and has not been cracked, re-sealed or altered.
