About this copy

Amazing Fantasy #15 (August 1962) is the second-most important comic book ever printed. Stan Lee and Steve Ditko's Peter Parker — a nerdy, bullied teenager who gains spider-powers and learns the hardest lesson of his life — became Marvel's most enduring character and redefined the hero archetype.

This CGC 6.5 FN+ copy is an outstanding example. The iconic Jack Kirby cover — Spider-Man swinging with a captive under his arm — is vivid and well-centred. The interior Ditko pages are clean and bright.

The original print run of Amazing Fantasy #15 was so high that this book is relatively more available than Action Comics #1 — yet prices continue to climb as demand outpaces supply at every grade.
